Response For Question
by: Varun Goyal

Ya you can still go for the psychology. you have variety of options according to your interest. But as a student of psychology i have personal experience that a very few people is able to make a success full career in psychology. if you already have a success full career in your current job i suggest you to just take the psychology as a hobby and keep it as a part time. it is not a wise thing to try a different thing by leaving the current one. if you want any information you can contact me at my email id varungoyalgcm@gmail.com or you can contact any career counselor for this regard.

Hi..

I have completed a PG Certificate Course in Forensic Psychology from NIMHANS. I course was not well planned and you get more of clinical experience from there plus your lectures. NIMHANS now no longer has this course. Now the gujarat university is where you should aim. I suggest this place because I have heard that they have the back up of the DFS.

There are a few other places too i suggest you check Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, Delhi.

Where ever you decide understand that the scope in India is very slim. Kindly check deeply before you invest money. A better option is study abroad. Think about that if you can.

Criteria
by: Anonymous

Hey,

Firstly you need to have a postgraduate degree in psychology. the application is already out i guess.kindly check on that. you will have to write an entrance and attend an interview too.they will put it up in the notice board if you are selected. its a new course..currently running its second year.only 12 seats.

career prospects are presently not bright as the field as such is gaining ground in India. There is only one forensic psychologist in India as far as i know her name is dr.vaya, she is an aluminus of NIMHANS, she is working in dfs, gandhinagar.

keep an eye on the nimhans website for application as there will not be further advertisements.

Regards

Aishwarya
