Forensic Psychologist Career Question

I am very interested in becoming a forensic psychologist. I am aiming for a MD (degree) so that can almost guarantee me a higher paying position and more credibility. How does a forensic psychologist get a guranteed job, right after graduate school?

Where should they look to get hired? police/correctional facilities ect? Where can I get that information?
